(Sub)Urban (Sub)Goldsworthy

In my late teens/early twenties I spent a lot of time in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.  Wonderful place. The site of the making of many scenes from Women in Love. Great place for sculpture. Downside was that a late-night drunken stroll would have you giggling nervously about the fact you might just have knocked over a wannabe-Goldsworthy construction.

Whilst being Somewhere Else, I came across a scene that, as I flipped out the screen and made the shot, had me a) glancing nervously over my shoulder for a decades-ago long-retired park warden and b) worrying that I might be guilty of a similar crime to this.

But hey, serendipity strikes…

Somewhere Else

I’d planned to start a new project today. I’d written down a list of things I was looking for, researched the place, checked the train times on the internet, printed the schedules off, checked the times on the screen on the platform. Got on the train, train went off in the right direction, only NOT to stop at the place I was heading for. So I ended up somewhere else.
