thanks Ralph, I've just picked it up again in the right eye. having it in both eyes means it just passes from one to the other when you think it has cleared up in one eye. I haven't taken a photograph in months...

Thanks for the tip on the B27 gene. Pain has already faded thanks to eyedrops, although things are still a bit blurry at the moment.

Don't worry, the pain soon goes when the medication kicks in. The bad part is the reduction of the medication, which is when you'll be able to see again, take place after about 2 or 3 weeks. I got to this stage, then picked it up in BOTH eyes, and then had to start again from scratch! You need to talk with your doctor about getting tested for the B27 gene as this illness is linked to that gene and other illness such as asthma and spondilitis

I'll add my recovery wishes.
That show sounds *very* promising, I hope it materializes.

Thanks Kevin. I've now got it in both eyes so seeing is a real problem. I feel quite bad because I owe Bee some writing, despite letting him down, there is a small chance we may be exhibiting together in Russia - I'm quite excited about that, so looking forward to working on things is keeping me going at the moment.

I had a period of being paralyzed on the left side of my face. The left eye could not close -- I would have to tape it shut at night when sleeping. Since the right eye DID close, I started shooting with the left eye. I recommend trying it, you may learn new things about how your mind processes and assembles what you see in the viewfinder. There may be a bright side! I hope that the trouble fades quickly just the same.

Nah, not that bad. I know the symptoms so I get treatment straight away, problem is I just can't see with the medication. Well, just blurred shapes and colours... Hey, maybe I should get the holga out!
