I guess one of the people who has had the greatest impact on my work is Bee Flowers. The guy has an insight into art and photography that I find unique. No, ‘nice pic’, commentary from him, just straight critique. After all, who else would start an email ‘oh yeah, and another thing I wanted to kick your ass about…’ . I’ve linked to Bee’s work before, but he has just come out with a new series to be exhibited at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. In fact, I’m quite pissed with Bee at the moment. Here I am, paying by the minute on an internet cafe link and he dumps his new series in my lap . So, spend some time here, I’m not going to do a crit now, just to say I’m really impressed with the way Bee has moved from a straight photographer, through montages, to now producing this combination of imagery using photographic and digitally created images.

Spent 4 or 5 hours in this area last week. I was looking to extend my Oasis project, but I think this area is worth concentrating on. These are the only three frames to actually make it onto film as the rollei’s shutter wasn’t firing…

I’ve a number of new triptychs to upload during the next few days, not sure how many will make a final edit but this is a contender…

Got a new router, plugged it in, still no connection. Logged it with my isp, and I was told it would take up to 10 days to fix…. called last night to check and got the ‘problem, what problem’? spiel, but not to worry as they’d fix it within 10 days… it would take one month to unsubscribe from my current isp and another month to get a connection with a new one… watch this space…

The really BAD news was to get 20 rolls back from the lab to find that the rollei’s shutter isn’t firing. My repair guy reckons it could be hard to fix… surgery is due for Friday…
